Since year 1988

Mr. Gilberto Antonio Wilfred Engelhardt (Papi) may he rest in peace, founded the Funeral Agency El Consolador on December 5, 1988.

Our first address was FD Rooseveltweg # 315. From there, we offered funeral arrangement services, utilizing the St. Elizabeth Hospital’s freezer and its rooms. We did not have our own mortuary. At this address, we began to offer funeral insurance.

In mid-2001, we constructed our own building, at Charoweg #2, which is more spacious. Here we have our own mortuary and viewing rooms.

As developments went on, in 2007, El Consolador opened its own cemetery named Parke El Consolador located at Bonam z/n.

2013 - Make Every Moment Count!

On April 29, 2013, after the passing of the founder and former director for 25 years, his daughter Mrs. Solange Li-Engelhardt became the director of the 3 companies. These are Agencia Funeraria El Consolador, Funeral Insurance, and Parke El Consolador.

El Consolador is the only funeral agency in Curaçao that provides services during the night hours. Also, we are the only funeral agency where you can bury your loved one after sunset.

It is known that El Consolador is the funeral agency that takes into account the economic situation of its clients. Regardless of the economic situation, we work hard to keep our services as economical as possible.

These efforts positively contribute to the community of Curaçao, providing relief and tranquility to our clients in their moments of sadness.
